The report provides an in-depth analysis of the levels of absenteeism across Australia, it’s causes, and management practices.

The absenteeism survey reveals that absenteeism levels have decreased to their lowest level since 2008. This year we witness a 7% reduction in absence levels across Australia, with some significant changes in absence levels across industries, contact centres and location.

The cost of absenteeism to the Australian economy now exceeds $32.5 billion per annum in payroll and lost productivity costs. The average cost of absence is now $347 per work day.
