(subject to availability)

Protect your business and your workforce by completing regular onsite screening under the supervision of DHS’s health professionals.

Rapid Antigen Screening (RAT)

Rapid Antigen Screening can produce results within 15 minutes and is an effective tool to screen for possible COVID infection before the onsite of symptoms. The main advantage for workplaces is cost and speed of testing. They can be used to complement PCR testing. DHS use the market leading Roche SARS-CoV-2 Rapid Antigen Test - Nasal.

Who is it suitable for?

Suitable for testing asymptomatic (symptom free) workers in the workplace.

How is the test done?

The nasal swab is only inserted 2cm into the nose resulting in a test that is less invasive, reducing patient discomfort and reluctance to seek testing.

How quickly are results available?

Results can be available as quickly as 10-15 minutes.

Who conducts the testing?

Testing and results interpretation must be supervised by a trained Health Professional, such as a doctor, or registered nurse. DHS will provide nurses to deliver onsite testing.

What if there is a positive case?

If there is a positive result, the worker will need to isolate and DHS can then arrange for a full lab-based confirmation test. Other staff should be able to continue to work so long as they have been physically distancing and utilising appropriate PPE in the workplace already.

Lab-based PCR (polymerase chain reaction)

PCR testing remains the gold standard of testing – utilising specialised laboratory equipment. This testing is highly accurate with results typically available within 24-48 hours.

Testing can be completed onsite for asymptomatic workers who are able to continue working post-test.
